Most of these medications may cause dryness, redness or peeling of the skin in the beginning of treatment. If you have dry skin, you may want to use a moisturizer .The skin takes some time to adjust to the acne medications. If irritation persists, you should consult your doctor.

Please note that acne medication takes time to clear acne and you must be patient while treating acne. Some people keep changing their medication after a week or so if they do not see any result. That does not produce results, but may also flare up acne. Wait for at least a month and if you don’t get results after that, you should consult your doctor about change in medication.
